The World Refining Association (WRA) is an independent, information provider to the global oil and gas and energy sectors. The association was formed in 1997, and now has offices in Central London and Cheltenham in the UK, and operates a team of independent senior consultants based across Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

The World Refining Association is part of Clarion Events , a global business-to-business event organiser with over 200 staff in London, Birmingham, Hong Kong, Maarssen (The Netherlands), and St Charles (MI), USA. Clarion's energy portfolio includes the utilities and energy trading specialist Synergy.

The World Refining Association has achieved worldwide recognition within the downstream oil and gas and petrochemical sectors, through the organisation of its high level, strategic conferences.

These international conferences, seminars and workshops have established themselves as leading industry forums, with all events being held on an annual basis.
