Biofuels 2008 will take place in the impressive InterContinental Berlin hotel located on Budapester Strasse at the heart of the city. Only a short walk from the hotel, one can find the famous Kurfürstendamm Boulevard offering an excellent array of exquisite clothes stores, art and antiques dealers, restaurants, cafés and theatres and the Postdamer Platz which marks the site of the Postdam Gate where the old road from Potsdam used to pass through the city wall of Berlin.

Also close by are such historical places of interest as Berlin Cathedral, the Memorial Church, Victory Column and of course the Brandenburg Gate. The famous Museumsinsel (Museum Island) which since 1999 has been a World Heritage Site housing The Altes Museum, Neues Museum, the Alte Nationalgalerie, the Bode Museum and the Pergamon Museum is definitely worth a visit.
