Running for its 4th year, The Big Gas Debate is designed to shine a spotlight on a critical issue in the industry that is polarising opinion.
Last year’s motion was: “This House believes no new LNG or pipeline projects will go ahead at current gas prices”
How does it work?
Based on the Oxford-Style format, after a five-minute introduction from the moderator, each panellist will present a ten-minute opening statement either proposing or opposing the motion. This will be followed by 20 minutes of questions from the audience and inter-panel challenges. To conclude, each panellist will deliver a five-minute closing argument followed by an audience vote.
