18-21 October 2005, Warsaw, Poland
The
World Refining Association are delighted to announce their 2005 Central
and Eastern European Refining and Petrochemicals 8th Annual Roundtable
is co-hosted with PKN ORLEN, taking place from 18 – 21 October 2005.
Within
the majority of Central and Eastern European major refineries, a lot of
investment has taken place and refiners in countries that joined the EU
in May 2004 have undergone costly upgrades to remove sulphur, reducing
the need for imports into the region to plug any gap in fuel quality.
Refiners in Eastern European countries yet to join the EU have also been
looking ahead to the forthcoming 2007 Accession and are starting to invest
in desulphurisation units or are preparing for upgrades in the next few
years. Whilst overall within the sector, there has been heavy investment
to meet stricter EU quality requirements.
Privatisations, mergers and acquisitions continue to dominate the sector,
ensuring key local players become stronger to enable them to strengthen
their position both regionally and internationally.
To keep on track of developments such as those mentioned above, participate
within the World Refining Associations Annual Central and Eastern European
Roundtable, which is recognised as the only event capable of delivering
an agenda and speaker panel that the sector demands. |
