BioDiesel Vienna
BioDiesel Vienna was founded in 2004 and began production in May
2006. The plant is the largest and most technologically advanced
in Austria producing 95,000 tons of biodiesel per annum.
Fresh vegetable oils such as rapeseed and sunflower oil
are processed by the transesterification method into high quality
biodiesel which complies with EN14214 and fulfils all high class
requirements of modern diesel engines.
All raw materials are recycled one hundred percent and no waste
products result from the production process. Glycerine is processed
to pharmaceutical glycerine for use in the chemical industry and
potassium sulphate is used as high quality fertilizer in the agricultural
industry.
